New Delhi: AYUSH Ministry to Enhance Collaboration Between the Insurance Sector and AYUSH Healthcare Providers
To foster a deeper understanding and collaboration between the insurance sector and AYUSH healthcare providers, the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India, is organizing a sensitization program specifically designed for executive leadership. This initiative aims to provide affordable AYUSH healthcare to all citizens.
The program will take place on May 27, 2024, at the All India Institute of Ayurveda, New Delhi. It seeks to enhance the accessibility and affordability of AYUSH treatments for the public, promoting holistic health and wellness across the nation. Additionally, it aims to facilitate the empanelment of public and private AYUSH hospitals for insurance coverage in India.
The program will cover the regulatory framework and policy support needed to integrate AYUSH treatments into health insurance schemes. It will also facilitate a dialogue between key stakeholders to address challenges and opportunities. Key discussion topics include insurance coverage in the AYUSH sector, Standard Treatment Guidelines (STG) and ICD codes for the insurance sector, the penetration of AYUSH in the insurance sector, perspectives of AYUSH hospitals, achievements and success stories of AIIA, onboarding AYUSH hospitals on the ROHINI platform, and the empanelment of AYUSH hospitals for insurance coverage.
