He urged Ayurvedic medicine teachers to prioritize quality to elevate the field, highlighting how a strong relationship between students and teachers can foster a healthy society through Ayurveda. Singh encouraged both teachers and students to promote Ayurveda in five adopted villages and underscored the importance of specialization in the discipline.
Professor Singh further noted that Varanasi was once a prominent Ayurveda hub in Uttar Pradesh but had lagged due to a lack of focus on quality. However, he pointed out that, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Ayurveda is now receiving much-needed attention to enhance public health.
During the event, Professor Pradeep Kumar Sharma, Vice Chancellor of Maharaja Suheldev State University, highlighted Ayurvedic medicine’s role in social upliftment and reiterated the importance of quality. Rajya Sabha member Ashok Vajpayee remarked that with the global spotlight on Ayurvedic medicine, India’s responsibilities have grown.
College Principal Nilesh Masurkar assured the audience that the college would provide outstanding education in Ayurveda and produce skilled Ayurvedic doctors who would bring pride to the institution across the country.
