New Delhi: The Ministry of Ayush has invited nominations for the Prime Minister's Yoga Awards 2025, which will be presented during International Day of Yoga (IDY 2025).

These awards recognize individuals and organizations that have significantly contributed to promoting and developing Yoga at both national and international levels.

Established to highlight yoga's profound impact on society, the Prime Minister's Yoga Awards honor outstanding contributions to the field. They reinforce yoga’s role in disease prevention, health promotion, and managing lifestyle-related disorders. Personally endorsed by the Hon’ble Prime Minister, these awards reflect the government’s commitment to acknowledging efforts in expanding yoga’s reach and influence, ANI reported.

Award Categories & Eligibility

The awards will be presented in the following categories:

• National Individual

• National Organization

• International Individual

• International Organization

Each winner will receive a trophy, a certificate, and a cash prize of ?25 lakh.

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Individuals must be 40 years or older.

• They must have at least 20 years of dedicated service in yoga promotion.

How to Apply

Candidates can submit applications and nominations through the MyGov platform:

The application link is also available on the Ministry of Ayush’s website and the websites of its autonomous bodies.

• Applicants can apply directly or be nominated by a recognized yoga organization.

• Each applicant/nominee can apply for only one category (National or International) per year.

• The deadline for submissions is March 31, 2025.

Selection Process

The Ministry of Ayush’s Screening Committee will review all applications and recommend up to 50 names per category to the Evaluation Jury. This jury, consisting of eminent personalities from various fields, will make the final selections, ANI reported.

The Ministry of Ayush continues its efforts to integrate Siddha, Sowa-rigpa, and homeopathy into the healthcare system, promoting holistic well-being for individuals and communities.
