NEET PG 2024: MCC Withdraws 5 Seats Across Three Specialties in Round 1

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has removed five seats across three specialties from the NEET PG Round 1 Counselling 2024 seat matrix. An MCC notice states that these removals follow information provided by three institutions: Renee Hospital in Telangana, Jaiprakash Hospital and Research Centre Private Limited, and the National Board of Examinations (NBE).

In the revised seat matrix, here are the changes:

1. Jaiprakash Hospital and Research Centre Private Limited removed 1 DNB seat in Otorhinolaryngology (ENT) for the UR category.
2. Dr. Baba Saheb Ambedkar Hospital removed 2 DNB seats in Radiodiagnosis for the UR category.
3. Renee Hospital removed 2 DNB seats in Anesthesiology for the UR category.

MCC will withdraw these seats from the seat matrix before starting the Round 1 PG Counselling 2024 allotment process.

In related news, MCC has published the overall seat matrix for candidates participating in the NEET PG counselling process under AIQ, Deemed, Central, and State Quota. Currently, candidates have access to 26,795 PG medical seats, with the following breakdown: 6,805 vacant seats in DNB courses, 6,140 in deemed universities, 819 in the internal quota, and 12,761 in the All India Quota (MD/MS/DIPLOMA).
