Notification:
Delhi: The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has announced a resignation window for NEET PG candidates who secured seats in Round 1 of the All India Quota (AIQ) counselling but also obtained seats through their respective state counselling processes.
This decision addresses the numerous requests from candidates who were allotted seats via MCC but later received offers through their state counselling authorities.
According to the MCC notice, the resignation facility for Round 1 PG seats will be open for a limited period. Starting today, December 7, 2024, at 5:00 PM, the window will remain available until December 9, 2024, at 6:00 PM. This three-day period allows eligible candidates to vacate their seats, ensuring a smooth transition in the counselling process.
Colleges and institutions where these candidates are allotted seats must ensure all resignations are recorded on the IntramCC portal. Failure to update resignations on the portal will render the process "Null & Void," meaning the candidate will still be considered to hold the seat, and the resignation will not be processed.

The MCC operates under the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) within the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. It plays a crucial role in allocating seats for undergraduate, postgraduate, and super-specialty medical and dental courses in government-run, aided colleges and deemed-to-be-university institutions.
The DGHS oversees online counselling for the 15% AIQ seats in undergraduate courses, adhering to the National Medical Commission (NMC) guidelines, court rulings, and notifications from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
