Notification:
New Delhi – The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) recently announced the withdrawal of 10 seats from the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test-Postgraduate (NEET PG) Round 3 counselling for the 2024 academic session.
In an official notice, MCC stated that it had received information from one institute regarding the withdrawal of these seats from the Round 3 seat matrix. The affected institute is the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences (PGIMS), where 10 seats across four specialties and various categories, including OP, BC, SC, and ST, have been removed. These seats will not be available during the Round 3 allotment process.
Breakdown of Withdrawn Seats:
The withdrawn seats span multiple specialties, with the highest number removed from MD (Obstetrics & Gynecology)/MS (Obstetrics & Gynecology) (OBGY), followed by MD (General Medicine). Meanwhile, the least-affected specialties include MD (Pediatrics CS) and MS (Orthopedics). Below is the detailed list:

Earlier Seat Withdrawals:
Previously, MCC had withdrawn over 50 seats during NEET PG Round 1 and Round 2 counselling for the 2024-25 academic year. According to the latest withdrawal list, 57 seats were removed across various medical colleges in India during these rounds. Among the affected states, Rajasthan witnessed the highest number of seat withdrawals (16), while Kerala, Goa, and Assam each had one seat withdrawn.
