Bihar: The JP Institute of Ayurveda and Medical Sciences has opened applications for the Bachelor of Ayurveda Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) course for the 2024 session. Interested candidates can apply online through the official website of the college.
Eligibility Criteria
1. Qualifying for the National Eligibility and Entrance Test (NEET-UG) with a valid score is mandatory.
2. Candidates must have successfully completed Class 12 (intermediate) or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) as core subjects, meeting the minimum qualifying percentage set by the college.
Admission Process
1. Admissions to the BAMS program at the JP Institute of Ayurveda and Medical Sciences are primarily managed through the centralized counseling process conducted by BCECEB.
2. Candidates must meet the eligibility criteria for admission to the BAMS program.
3. Candidates who qualify for the for the NEET are eligible for admission to the BAMS program.
4. Admission to the BAMS program is based on NEET scores.
5. Candidates are shortlisted based on their performance in the NEET, followed by state NEET counseling.
6. Seats are allotted after verification of documents and fee payment.
Fees
The fee for the BAMS course is Rs. 13.91 lakh for the duration of 4.5 years plus a 1-year internship. There is no fee for the internship.
The annual hostel fee is Rs. 96,000. The college offers separate hostels for boys and girls, including food.

Facilities
The JP Institute of Ayurveda and Medical Sciences is located in a spacious 4,000 sq. ft. building, housing the JP Ayurveda Hospital and Research Institute, a super specialty Ayurvedic hospital in Bihar. The hospital features a 100-bed specialty hospital with multiple facilities, including spacious and well-equipped OPD rooms, IPD, clinical lab, OT and labor rooms, Panchkarma Center, NICU, and emergency facilities.
