Patna: The Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIESIC Medical College Patna Invites Applications for Associate Fellows in Industrial Health Course 2024C) has announced the opening of applications for admission to the 1st batch of the 'Associate Fellow of Industrial Health (AFIH) course for the academic year 2024. ESIC has released a prospectus that details the important dates, eligibility, experience, application fees, and other crucial information about the course.

Eligibility for Admission

1. You must have an MBBS degree from an institution recognized by the National Medical Council of India or the Medical Council of India.

2. You must have completed your internship.

3. You must have permanent registration with the National Medical Council of India, the Medical Council of India, or a State Medical Council.

Experience

As of the opening date of application, May 20, 2024, after completing the compulsory internship, you must have at least one year of experience in a registered factory, mines, dock works, construction work, or plantation work under the respective statutes. Additionally, you must have two years of working experience in hospitals, including self-practice.

The time spent on higher studies (full-time NMCI/MCI recognized degree or diploma course) after completing your MBBS degree and internship, with registration to the Medical Council of India or State Medical Council, will be considered equivalent to self-practice for meeting the eligibility criteria for admission to the AFIH course, provided you produce valid certificates.

Submission of Application

Complete the prescribed application in all respects, including self-attested photocopies of certificates and a demand draft or banker’s check for the requisite amount. Submit the application by hand or post, and also send a soft copy in a single PDF format via email, on or before June 10, 2024.

Application Fees

Application Fees: Rs. 500/- (five hundred only) is to be submitted while applying for admission, which will be non-refundable.Selected candidates must pay Rs. 25,000/- (Twenty-Five Thousand Only) as institute fee upon joining the course, which will also be non-refundable.Candidates are required to furnish a demand draft or banker’s check for the requisite amount drawn in favor of ‘ESIC A/c No. payable at Bihta, Patna, preferably from the State Bank of India.

1. Self-attested photocopies of:a. MBBS Degree Certificate.b. Internship Experience Certificate.c. NMCI/MCI/State Medical Council Registration Certificate(s).d. SC/ST/OBC/PH/EWS Certificate issued by the competent authority, if applicable.e. Experience Certificate(s).

2. Sponsorship Certificate in original, in the case of sponsored candidates only.

3. No objection certificate in the original if the candidate is currently employed in government or public sector undertakings or autonomous bodies.

4. In case of a change in the applicant's name, a copy of the Gazette of India and Medical Council Registration with the changed name should be provided.

5. If any certificates provided by the applicant are found to be false or forged, the candidacy will be disqualified.

Application Procedure

1. Interested candidates must apply using the prescribed application form and submit it along with self-attested copies of necessary documents via speed post.

2. Clearly mention "APPLICATION FOR AFIH" on the outer envelope.

3. The last date for receipt of the application form through speed post or surface mail is June 10, 2024.

4. No TA/DA will be provided for attending document verification, admission, reporting, open round counseling, or any other purpose.

5. All information related to admission, selection, or any other matter concerning this training program will be notified or updated on the ESIC website periodically. The admissions process will conclude on June 27, 2024, by 16:00 hrs.

Interview

The interview for short-listed candidates will be conducted on June 17, 2024, starting at 10:30 a.m. If the number of applications exceeds 30, indicating more applications than the total number of seats available, the interview will be held via online mode. Shortlisted candidates will be informed about the interview process accordingly.
