New Delhi: The Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) has announced the cancellation of an MBBS candidate's candidature for admission to JIPMER Karaikal due to dual nativity concerns.
The MCC notified that the Puducherry government issued a letter to the Dean of the Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER), Karaikal. The letter highlighted that the candidate, listed as S.No.1 in the MCC notice, applied for the State Government Quota in Tamil Nadu.
The notice stated:
“If the candidate is allotted the vacant seat at JIPMER, Karaikal, it will be deemed as claiming dual nativity. Therefore, the candidate is ineligible to participate in NEET-UG counseling for the vacant seat at JIPMER, Karaikal.”
The MCC has also released the schedule for the Special Round Counseling under the All India Quota (AIQ), Deemed, and Central State Quota for MBBS, BDS, and B.Sc Nursing admissions:
