WBMCC Releases Schedule for NEET Special Stray Vacancy Counselling

West Bengal: The West Bengal Main Computerized Counselling (WBMCC) has released the schedule for the Special Stray Vacancy Round of WB NEET UG Medical and Dental Counselling 2024.

In accordance with the notice issued by MCC, New Delhi, on 19.11.2024, candidates who remained unallotted after the extended Stray Vacancy Round are eligible to participate in this counseling round with fresh registration and fee payment, as stated by WBMCC.

Additionally, candidates who register afresh for the Special Stray Vacancy Round can also participate. WBMCC clarified that due to time constraints during the admission process of the extended Stray Vacancy Round conducted on 5.11.2024, candidates unable to report to their allotted institutes are now permitted to join this round with fresh registration and fee payment.

All participants must complete Fresh Choice Filling, as any previously submitted choices will be treated as "Null & Void." However, candidates who fail to join the allotted seats in this round will be barred from appearing for the NEET UG 2025 exam, WBMCC emphasized.

Schedule for Special Stray Vacancy Round:

  1. Publication of Verified Candidates List and Seat Matrix:

    • Date: 28.11.2024, after 2 PM
  2. Online Choice Filling and Choice Locking:

    • Date: From 28.11.2024 (4 PM) to 29.11.2024 (midnight, as per server time)
  3. Publication of Allotment Results:

    • Date: 03.12.2024, after 4 PM
  4. Reporting and Admission:

    • Dates: 04.12.2024 and 05.12.2024 (11 AM to 4 PM, as per server time)
    • Candidates must report to their allotted institute with original documents, required fees, and bonds. Admissions will be finalized after physical document verification.

Important Information for UG Counselling 2024 Candidates:

Eligible NEET UG candidates registered with MCC and who have paid the fees are notified that some medical seats remain vacant due to non-joining or non-reporting during the Stray Vacancy Round of UG Counselling 2024. Details of these vacant seats are available on the MCC website.

To prevent these valuable medical seats from going unutilized, the competent authority has decided to conduct a Special Stray Vacancy Round in online mode.

Rules for the Special Stray Vacancy Round:

  • No Fresh Registration: Only candidates who have completed prior registration and fee payment but are not holding any seat can participate.
  • Fresh Choice Filling Mandatory: New choices must be submitted as earlier choices will not be considered.
  • Security Deposit:
    • AIQ Registered candidates: Refundable security deposit of Rs. 50,000 for government seats.
    • Deemed University candidates: Refundable security deposit of Rs. 3,00,000.

Important Note:
Candidates who do not join the allotted seats in this round will forfeit their refundable deposit and be barred from appearing for NEET UG 2025.
