West Bengal – The West Bengal Medical Counselling Committee (WBMCC) has announced the WB Postgraduate (PG) Medical 2024 Admission for the academic year 2024.
According to the notice, WBMCC has published the provisional allotment results for WB PG Medical 2024 Round 1 on its official website. Successful candidates can generate individual allotment letters by logging into the counseling website until the Round 1 admission schedule closes. Candidates allotted seats must visit their assigned colleges within the specified admission schedule. They must bring the required original documents, one set of self-attested photocopies, a successfully verified slip, and the allotment letter (original and self-attested copies). Additionally, four recent passport-sized photographs are mandatory.
Candidates must also provide an undertaking confirming they are not admitted elsewhere through AIQ/SQ counseling held in 2024 or earlier. The college authority will retain the following mandatory documents:
Candidates must also pay the requisite admission fee via the specified payment method. For candidates opting out of upgrades in Round 2 or Round 3, the college will ensure submission of the relevant bond:
Private colleges, trust colleges, and central institutes require a bond or bank guarantee as per the college's policy.
Candidates wishing to participate in subsequent rounds must pay only the admission fees during Round 1. They must indicate their willingness for further rounds online during admission. Those securing new allotments in later rounds can withdraw fees and documents from the previous college and proceed to the newly allotted college within the stipulated schedule.
Candidates failing to report in Round 1 can participate in fresh choice filling for Round 2. Non-allotted candidates can also engage in subsequent rounds. However, candidates who surrender their seat after admission are excluded from further counseling.
The notice outlines the treatment of candidates under reserved categories or PwD status who fail to provide valid certificates. They may either proceed under unreserved or non-PwD categories if eligible or exit the counseling process.
Admissions must be finalized via the NIC server within the given schedule. Candidates must secure server-generated admission or cancellation letters to validate their admission.
