TN Health: Resignation Policy for Round 1 DNB & Diploma Seats

Tamil Nadu (TN) Health has released an official notification regarding the resignation process for Round 1 DNB Broad Speciality (Post MBBS, Post Diploma) and Post MBBS Diploma (two-year courses) seats in Tamil Nadu Government Headquarters Hospitals, Sub-district Hospitals, and Government quota for the academic year 2024-2025.

Key Highlights of the Notification

  1. Resignation Without Forfeiture
    Candidates who wish to resign from their Round 1 allotted seats can do so without losing their security deposit or tuition fee. However, this option is only available until 13th December 2024 at 12:00 PM.

  2. Online Resignation Process

    • The resignation process is entirely online.
    • Candidates must download their resignation letters and submit them to their allotted colleges to retrieve their original certificates.
    • Offline resignations will not be accepted.
  3. Round 2 Participation Rules

    • Candidates who provide consent for re-allotment and participate in Round 2 counselling will be governed by Round 2 rules.
    • Round 1 candidates who do not resign or participate in Round 2 will be deemed to have retained their seats after the deadline.

Instructions for Hospitals and Institutions

TN Health has directed all hospitals and institutions to ensure their staff are available on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays until the counselling process for the DNB Broad Speciality course for the academic year 2024-2025 concludes.
