The National Testing Agency (NTA) will soon release the 2025 exam calendar, outlining key dates for major entrance exams such as JEE, NEET, CUET, and UGC NET.
The National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET-UG) will be conducted in a single session, as is customary. Meanwhile, the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) for both undergraduate and postgraduate admissions to central universities and other participating institutions will take place in multiple shifts.
The NTA in New Delhi is planning to release a tentative exam calendar for 2025. This schedule will highlight important dates for the following major entrance exams:
JEE Main 2025: For engineering admissions
NEET UG 2025: For medical and dental admissions
CUET UG 2025: For admissions to central universities
UGC NET 2025: To determine eligibility for assistant professorships and junior research fellowships
The tentative calendar will be accessible on the NTA's official website at nta.nic.in, enabling students to plan their preparations for the upcoming admission season.
Once NTA announces the tentative exam calendar, detailed final notifications for exams like JEE Main, NEET, CUET, and UGC NET will be available on their respective official websites.
In a related development, the Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (GBSHSE) recently rescheduled its Class 12 final exams to avoid conflicts with the JEE Main exam dates.
Starting with the 2025 cycle, UGC NET is expected to be conducted twice a year. This exam plays a vital role in determining candidates' eligibility for positions such as Assistant Professor, as well as awarding Junior Research Fellowships (JRF) and PhD admissions in Indian universities.
