Notification:
New Delhi: The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) will likely release the exam city allotment details for the National Eligibility and Entrance Test-Postgraduate (NEET-PG) exam 2024 today, July 29, 2024. Candidates will receive the exam city allotment information via their registered email IDs. It will not be available on the official exam website.
According to the official notice, NBEMS NBEMS previously stated, "We will communicate the test city allocated to all concerned candidates through email on July 29, 2024, at their registered email IDs."
The admit card, released on August 8, 2024, on the NBEMS website, will provide the test center venue in the allocated test city. The notice also mentioned, "If a state or UT has fewer than four available test cities or if the demand for testing seats exceeds the capacity in the state of the correspondence address, candidates will choose from test cities in nearby states or UTs."
Additionally, we will allocate exam cities randomly from the options provided by the candidates. However, due to overcapacity, logistical, administrative, or security reasons, preferred exam cities may not be available. In such cases, we will assign candidates to the nearest available location. If we cannot allot an examination center within the state of the correspondence address or in an adjoining state, we will assign the candidate a center anywhere in the country based on availability.
Moreover, the notice added, "Candidates who fail to provide any preferences regarding the test cities during this online window will be allocated a test center by NBEMS anywhere in the country." The admit card, released on August 8, 2024, will provide exam city allotment details. For the NEET PG exam in 2024, NBEMS and MoHFW (the Government of India) are implementing additional security measures. Therefore, NEET PG will now be conducted in 185 test cities across the country. This year's NEET-PG 2024 examination, originally scheduled for June 23, 2024, will now be held on August 11, 2024, in two shifts.
Scheme of NEET-PG 2024
The NEET PG exam consists of 200 multiple-choice questions, each with four options in English only.
