NEET PG 2024: BFUHS Reopens Applications After Percentile Cut

Punjab – The Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS) has re-invited online applications from NEET PG 2024 qualified candidates in accordance with the revised cutoff percentile.

The minimum qualifying percentage for admission under NEET PG 2024 has been reduced. For the General Category/EWS, the new cutoff is 15% and above, while for the SC/ST/OBC/PWD category, it is 10% and above.

As per the official notice, candidates wishing to participate in the third round of Punjab State PG Medical Counselling must submit their applications online by January 10, 2025. Along with the application, candidates are required to pay Rs 5000 + 18% GST (Rs 5900) for general candidates and Rs 2500 + 18% GST (Rs 2950 for SC candidates). Additionally, a security deposit of Rs 25,000 (Rs 10,000 for SC/BC candidates) for government colleges and Rs 2,00,000 for both government and private colleges must be submitted. However, candidates who have already applied need not submit a new application; they only need to submit their willingness along with the security deposit to participate in the third round of online counselling.

The last date for submitting the admission application form for the NRI quota personally at the university is also set for January 10, 2025, by 5:00 PM. The application forms for obtaining the eligibility certificate and admission for NRI quota seats are separately available on the BFUHS official website.

Important Points:

  1. PCMS in-service candidates wishing to avail themselves of incentive marks must submit the NOC, duly issued by the Secretary to the Government of Punjab, Department of Health and Family Welfare/competent authority, personally to the University by January 10, 2025. If the NOC is not submitted by this date, the candidate will not be considered for incentive marks. As the merit list data will be sent to NBE, New Delhi, no NOCs will be accepted after this date. PCMS candidates who have already registered and are now eligible to participate in the counselling due to the reduced percentile must also submit their NOC by January 10, 2025.

  2. According to the Punjab Government's notification, the required rural service for incentive marks will be counted until March 31, 2024.
