MBBS Seat Fraud Maharashtra Businessman Swindled Of Rs 51 Lakh

In a recent fraud case in Maharashtra, businessman Pawansingh Rajput was swindled of Rs 51 lakh by three interstate fraudsters promising an MBBS seat for his son.

The perpetrators, identified as Anil Thakur, MGK Raj Girish, and Jitendra Patel, deceived Rajput by falsely claiming to secure a medical seat through a minister's quota.

According to a report by TOI, Anil Thakur, the main culprit, convinced Rajput with the fake promise of obtaining a medical seat for his son, introducing the other two accused as close associates of a prominent Gujarat politician. Over the course of a year, Rajput transferred Rs 51 lakh to them in multiple instalments.

Despite assurances, the accused failed to deliver on their promise, prompting Rajput to demand a refund. However, they adamantly refused to reimburse him. Subsequently, Rajput filed a complaint at the Nandanvan police station, initiating an ongoing investigation into the case. This incident echoes previous occurrences of medical admission fraud in Maharashtra, indicating a recurring issue.

Medical Dialogues previously reported a similar case in Pune, where a retired private company employee was duped of Rs 70 lakh by an individual promising medical admission for his son in a private college.
