The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras has initiated the online counselling process for the Joint Admission Test for Masters (IIT JAM) 2024. Eligible candidates who have scored equal to or higher than the JAM 2024 cut-off marks for their respective category are eligible to participate in the counselling process. The application form for IIT JAM 2024 counselling is available on the official website of the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, at jam.iitm.ac.in. The deadline for submitting the IIT JAM 2024 counselling form is April 24.
During the IIT JAM 2024 counselling process, candidates will be presented with three options:
Accept and Freeze: This option enables applicants to secure their seats by paying the seat booking fees after confirming the allotted option. Accept and Upgrade: Candidates choosing this option accept the allocated seat while remaining open to better opportunities in subsequent rounds. They are typically given higher priority in subsequent IIT JAM 2024 admission lists. Reject and Quit: This option allows applicants to decline the assigned seat and remove their name from the list.
