Delhi Pollution: AAP Government Instructs Hospitals to Form Special Teams for Respiratory Cases

New Delhi: Amid the worsening air pollution in the capital, the Delhi government has directed all its hospitals to form specialist teams to address respiratory ailments, officials reported on Tuesday. 

The Delhi Health Department has instructed hospitals to monitor and report daily cases of respiratory issues, covering both outpatient (OPD) and inpatient (IPD) cases. Any significant increase in such cases must be flagged immediately, the advisory stated.

Hospitals are required to share these daily updates with Dr. Govind Mawari, Senior Scientist at the Centre for Occupational & Environmental Health (COEH)

The directive also emphasizes the designation of specialists to manage respiratory diseases, ensuring patients receive comprehensive and effective care amidst the ongoing pollution crisis.
