Apply Now for MD, MS, PG Diploma, DNB, & Ultrasonography at BFUHS

Faridkot: Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS) has issued a notification inviting applications for various postgraduate courses, including MD, MS, PG Diploma, MDS, Six Months Training in Ultrasonography, Post MBBS DNB (Degree), and Post MBBS Diploma Courses for the academic year.

Candidates should complete the online admission application form promptly to avoid technical issues at the last minute. BFUHS will not accept responsibility for any delays in form submission. The university will reject applications submitted after the deadline, as well as offline or printed applications sent by post. Incomplete applications that fail to follow instructions will face rejection, and the application fee will remain non-refundable under all circumstances.

The admissions process for these PG courses will strictly adhere to the rules and regulations mentioned in Punjab Government notifications and instructions from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. Candidates must ensure they meet the eligibility criteria outlined in these guidelines before applying. They must take full responsibility for participating in the counseling process, and eligibility will depend on their medical fitness and other prescribed criteria.

BFUHS will reject applications containing false or fabricated information. Such candidates will also face disqualification from future counseling sessions. Any attempt to influence the admission process will result in automatic disqualification. The university will display the final seat matrix during the respective rounds of online counseling.

Only institutions and specialties with valid permissions from all concerned authorities will grant admission. The fee structure will follow Punjab Government notifications, and any amendments will take immediate effect. Paying the fees does not guarantee admission; candidates must fulfill all eligibility requirements mentioned by the university and government notifications.

Candidates should regularly visit the university website for updates on counseling schedules and other admission-related announcements. They must retain a copy of the prospectus for reference and strictly follow the instructions mentioned in the notifications.

Seat allocation will depend on NEET-PG-2023 merit, the availability of specialties, and the candidate's preferences during online counseling. Candidates cannot request changes in category or quota after the application deadline. MBBS/BDS degrees must comply with the provisions of the Indian Medical/Dental Council Act. If authorities find a degree unrecognized, they will cancel the candidature.

Application Fee Details

  • General category candidates must pay an application fee of ?5000 + 18% GST (?5900).
  • SC candidates must pay ?2500 + 18% GST (?2950).
  • Candidates must submit fees online through the payment gateway; the university will not accept offline payment methods.
  • The application fee will not be refunded or adjusted under any circumstances.

NRI Candidates: Eligibility and Instructions

NEET-PG-qualified NRI candidates must obtain a provisional eligibility/equivalency certificate from BFUHS, Faridkot. They must provide relevant documents, including foreign passports, green cards, or OCI/PIO cards, for verification. Admission under the NRI quota will strictly follow the merit and preference categories mentioned in Punjab Government notifications.

Fee Structure for NRI Candidates:

  • MD/MS (Clinical): Lump sum: $125,000; Installments: $65,000 (first), $30,000 (second), $30,000 (third).
  • MD/MS (Basic Sciences): Lump sum: $20,000; Installments: $10,000 (first), $5,000 (second), $5,000 (third).
  • PG Diploma: Lump sum: $30,000; Installments: $15,000 (first), $8,000 (second), $7,000 (third).

Selected candidates must deposit fees using a foreign NRI account or a demand draft in favor of the Registrar, BFUHS. They should make payments in US dollars or from an NRE account.

Candidates should carefully review all guidelines and notifications before applying. They must meet the eligibility criteria to avoid disqualification.
