New Delhi: The All India Institute of Medical Sciences recently released a detailed schedule, information brochure, and FAQs for the registration of the Institutes of National Importance Combined Entrance Test (INI-CET).
This test is for admission to postgraduate (PG) courses, including MD, MS, DM (6 years), MCh (6 years), and MDS, for July 2024–INI CET 2024. The schedule for online seat allocation, including the mock round, will open for admission to PG courses of INIs for the July 2024 session.
The detailed schedule for the 1st round of online seat allocation (including the mock round) is provided below.
Schedule for the 1st Round of Online Seat Allocation (Including Mock Round)

Eligibility The eligibility criteria, as specified in INI-CET Prospectus Parts A and B, along with any published notices, have been applied based on the information provided by the candidates in theonline registration form.
All candidates listed in the Result Notification No.47/2024 dated May 24, 2024 are eligible to participate in the 1st and 2nd rounds of online seat allocation, except for OBC and EWS candidates whose ranks are lower than the cut-off rank for UR and who failed to produce a valid category certificate. This eligibility is subject to the fulfillment of the criteria mentioned in the prospectus and notices published on the website.
Procedure
1.Registration on PG Online Seat Allocation Portal
Eligible candidates must register on the PG Online Seat Allocation portal [PAAS/PG MedDen July 2024 of INI-CET]. The portal link will be activated only for eligible candidates in their MyPage. Candidates can log in using the credentials used for filling out the application form and completing other processes related to the INI-CET PG Entrance Examination for the July 2024 session.
2. Making Choices of Seats
The PG Online Seat Allocation portal allows candidates to choose seats (a combination of Institute and subject/specialty) based on their eligibility. Candidates can arrange their choices in the desired order of preference. There is no limitation on the number of choices (Institute & Subject/Specialty) that candidates can make. Choices can be edited and reordered within the date and time specified in the Important Dates link in the Portal.
3. Finalization of Choices
Choices cannot be edited or reordered after the closing date for exercising the choice of the 1st Round of seat allocation. The allocation of the 2nd Round will be based on the choices made by candidates during the exercising of the choice of the 1st Round of seat allocation.
4. Portal Availability
The Portal will remain open on the dates specified in the Important Dates link in the Portal. Choices made by the candidates will be locked either by the candidates themselves or automatically locked on the last date and time specified in the Important Dates link in the Portal.

5.Mock Seat Allocation
A Mock Seat Allocation will be conducted before the 1st Round of Seat Allocation (not a final allocation). This mock allocation represents the likely seat that a candidate may be allocated based on their choices. The result of the mock round seat allocation will be announced as per the date specified in the Important Dates link. Candidates can register, edit, or reorder their choices before the closing dates of choices for the 1st Round as specified in the Important Dates link in the Portal.
6. Non-Login During Exercising Choices
If candidates do not log in during the exercising of choices (Institute and subject/specialty) for the First Round, their order of choice will be considered based on the choices made during the Mock Round.
7.Institute Preference
AIIMS New Delhi & Other AIIMS: Allocation of Institute preferences will be done as per the Roster Point Allocation for Counseling (Dynamic), which will be announced separately.
JIPMER, Puducherry: Allocation of Institute preference for JIPMER Puducherry candidates will be done as per Roster Point (Dynamic).
NIMHANS, Bengaluru: No seat available for Institute Preference.
PGIMER, Chandigarh: No seat available for Institute Preference.
SCTIMST, Trivandrum* No seat available for Institute Preference.
8. Schedule for Mock and 1st Round Seat Allocation
The mock seat allocation and seat allocation for the 1st Round will be done as per the schedule specified in the Important Dates link.
9. Options for Candidates Allocated Seats in the 1st Round
All candidates who have been allocated seats in the 1st Round are required to log in to the PG Online Seat Allocation portal and actively choose one of the following options within the date and time specified in the Important Dates link:
Option 1:ACCEPT the allotted seat and DO NOT WISH TO PARTICIPATE in further rounds of seat allocation.

9. Options for Candidates Allocated Seats in the 1st Round (Continued)
Option 2: ACCEPT the allotted seat and WANT TO PARTICIPATE in the 2nd ROUND of Seat Allocation. If you choose this option and participate in the 2nd round, and you are allocated another seat as per your choice in the 2nd round, you must join the seat allocated during the 2nd round. The seat allocated in the first round will be considered vacated and automatically allocated to other candidates in order of merit. Failure to join the seat allotted in the 1st round or the upgraded seat will result in a penalty of Rs. 3.00 Lakh.
- Note: Options to REFUSE the allocated seat are NOT available. Therefore, candidates are requested to fill their choices carefully and responsibly. Candidates themselves are responsible for their choices.
- Failure to log in and select an option after seat allocation within the date and time specified in the Important Dates link will lead to forfeiture of the allocated seat and render the candidate ineligible for further rounds except the open round of Seat Allocation (if any).
10. Reporting to Allocated Institute
All candidates who are allocated seats must report in person (for reporting and/or joining) to the allocated Institute within the dates and times specified in the Important Dates link, irrespective of whether they chose Option 1 or Option 2 Candidates are required to submit original certificates OR deposit Rs. 3.00 Lakh as specified in the result notification of the seat allocation of the 1st Round at the time of reporting.
11. Constitutional Reservation Proof
Candidates availing constitutional reservation must show valid proof of their claim for a reserved seat when reporting to the INIs and depositing original certificates. If they do not possess a valid certificate, their claim for the allocated reserved seat will be nullified, and they will be eligible to appear in the further round as a UR candidate subject to the cut-off in the UR merit list.
The OBC/EWS certificate must be valid for admission in Central Govt. Institutions. The validity of the OBC/EWS certificates shall be as follows:
OBC(-NCL) Certificates: Should have been issued between 20.05.2023 to 19.05.2024 (both dates inclusive).
EWS Certificate: Must be valid for the financial year 2024-2025 and issued between 01.04.2024 to 19.05.2024 (on or before the date of the exam), both dates inclusive, based on the income of the financial year 2023-2024.
12.PWBD Reservation Proof
Candidates availing PWBD horizontal reservation must provide valid proof of their claim for the allocated reserved seat when undergoing verification of Disability by the Medical Board of AIIMS, New Delhi, as per the schedule mentioned in the result of the respective round of seat allocation. If they do not possess a valid certificate, their claim for the reserved seat allocated will be nullified, and they will be eligible to appear further in their respective category (UR/OBC/SC/ST/EWS) as applicable, without PWBD reservation, subject to the cut-off in the respective category.
13.Allocation for PWBD Candidates
The allocation of PWBD candidates will be done as per the Roster Point Allocation for counseling (Dynamic) of the final seat position as published for admission to PG courses of respective INIs as applicable for the July 2024 session.
Foreign National Candidates:
Seat allocation will be done in order of merit and according to the choices made by the candidates as described in point no 2.
Candidates will be eligible to exercise choice only as per the Subject/Institute filled in the online registration form for the July 2024 session.
Allocation of Foreign National candidates will be based on the Subject/Institute filled in the online registration for July 2024 session.
Only the best Subject/Specialty and Institute available at that rank will be allocated during online seat allocation.
The admission process will be conducted as per the procedure available for other candidates.
Sponsored Candidates:
Seat allocation will be done in order of merit and according to the choices made by the candidates as described in point no 2.
In case any discrepancy is found in online data with the Sponsorship certificate, valid information as in the Sponsorship certificate will be accepted as per eligibility criteria.
Candidates are eligible to exercise choice only as per the Subject/Institute available in the certificate, which will be accepted as per eligibility criteria.
iv. If a No Objection Certificate (NOC) has been received in place of a Sponsorship certificate, the seat allocation will be done based on the subject/Institute available in the online registration.
vi. If the subject is not mentioned against the candidate's name in the Sponsorship certificate, but the subject is available in the online registration, the candidate can make choices based on the subject available in the online registration.
vii. All allocations of Sponsored candidates will be based on the Subject/Institute available in the Sponsorship Certificate/online registration for the July 2024 session.
viii. Only the best Subject/Specialty and Institute available at that rank will be allocated during online seat allocation.
ix. The admission process will be conducted as per the procedure available for other candidates.
Note:
Those who have not been allocated any seat in the first round of seat allocation will be considered for allocation in the second round of seat allocation based on their choices filled during the exercising of choice of the 1st Round in order of merit.
The seat allocation of the subjects available in the Sponsored Category for PGIMER will be done by PGIMER Chandigarh separately.
