Notification:
The Maharashtra Government State Common Entrance Test Cell (MAHACET) has recently issued a notification regarding a significant relaxation in age criteria for the MH-Nursing CET for the 2024 session, marking a pivotal change in the admission process.
Previously, the information brochure stipulated an upper age limit of 35 years (with an extension to 40 years for Persons with Disabilities) for the MH-Nursing CET 2024. However, the latest notice from MAHACET has declared that there will be no upper age limit for the upcoming MH-Nursing CET 2024.
The official notification unequivocally states, "It has been hereby notified that there will be no maximum/upper age limit for admission to ANM, GNM, B.Sc.(N), M.Sc.(N), PBB.Sc.(N), Post Basic Diploma, and Nurse Practitioner Programmes."
Prior to this announcement, MAHACET had already issued a notice regarding the Common Entrance Test MH-Nursing CET-2024, aimed at facilitating admissions to B.Sc 1st year. This entrance exam encompasses admissions for first-year BSc Nursing, Auxiliary Nursing and Midwifery (ANM), and General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) courses. The MH-Nursing CET-2024 entrance exam is slated to be conducted at various examination centers across all major districts of Maharashtra state.
Quoting from the earlier notice, it emphasized, "MH-Nursing CET-2024 Entrance Examination for Admission to First Year B.Sc. Nursing, Auxiliary Nursing and Midwifery (ANM) & General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM) Courses, through State Common Entrance Test Cell, Mumbai for the academic year 2024-25 will be held at multiple testing locations spread throughout the State of Maharashtra's principal districts.
The deadline for online registration and submission of the application form for MH-Nursing CET 2024 was set until February 29, 2024, 11:59 pm, providing prospective candidates with ample time to complete the necessary procedures.
This significant relaxation in the age limit for nursing programs under MH-Nursing CET 2024 reflects a progressive approach by the Maharashtra Government towards inclusivity and accessibility in higher education, thereby opening doors for a broader spectrum of aspiring nursing professionals across diverse age groups.
