New Delhi: Armed Forces Medical College invites online applications from aspirants for MBBS course at AFMS. The information brochure released by AFMS explains the details of the MBBS program for candidates.

AFMS plans to appoint 150 individuals by 2024, five of whom will be government-sponsored individuals from foreign and allied nations. A total of 145 applicants—115 males and 30 girls—will be chosen to be medical students in the Armed Forces Medical College, Pune, for the MBBS program. The promise to serve as Medical Officers in the Army Medical Service will be given to these chosen applicants. In addition to becoming physicians, the Indian Army will recruit them to be police officers. To handle the challenges of Army life, candidates must exhibit both mental and physical toughness. The AFMS handbook states that having strong leadership traits, excellent communication skills, and rigorous physical standards are crucial.

Within the registration time that DGHS provides, interested applicants may register and submit an application to AFMC, Pune via the DGHS official website. Applicants must also pass the National Testing Authority's (NTA) NEET UG 2024 exam in order to be considered for admission to AFMC Pune's MBBS program.

The information booklet states that the MBBS program at AFMS lasts for four and a half years, after which there is a mandatory year of rotating training. Every medical student hired by AFMS will finish their internship at a National Medical Council (NMC)-accredited service hospital.

Eligibility requirements: Candidates must be eighteen (18) years old or older by December 31 of the application year, whichever comes first. On this date, those who are above 24 years old as well as those born between January 1, 2001, and December 31, 2007 can be born.
Qualifications for the AFMC MBBS Program:

Indian citizenship is a requirement for the candidate. Only after obtaining Indian citizenship or a certificate of eligibility from the Ministry of Home Affairs can foreign nationals of Indian descent be accepted. The five candidates from friendly foreign countries who are supported by the government are exempt from this.
Candidates' marital status must be single. Getting married throughout the training is not allowed.
Medical Fitness: Applicants need to be in good health.
Candidates who have successfully completed pre-university/pre-degree (one year course) or pre-professional in agricultural/animal/oral research are eligible to apply.
Candidates who have passed the relevant pre-professional examination or its equivalent as individual candidates or from open schools.
Candidates who have secured the requisite percentage but in subsequent attempts or compartment examinations.
