Maharashtra Council of Agriculture Education and Research postgraduate common entrance test known as MCAER PG CET, which is conducted annually to offer admission into a Postgraduate degree in agriculture and allied science in Maharashtra. The MCAER PG CET 2024 notification is out in February 2024. The Maharashtra Agriculture University Examination Board (MAUEB), which is situated in Pune, has the authority to make any changes related to this entrance exam.

Candidates who want to take admission can submit their application form until March. The MCAER PG CET application fee is INR 800/- and INR 600/- depending on the applicant’s category. The examination authority will not accept the application form after March 20, 2024. The final seat allotment in the PG program will depend on 70% of the Maharashtra agriculture PG CET scores and the rest on the candidate's graduation score.

MCAER PG CET Exam Dates

The Maharashtra Council of Agriculture Education and Research PG CET exam will be conducted in two shifts. Exam dates are different for each course. Check the dates and timing for the MCAER PG CET exam below in the table.

MCAER PG CET Application Form

The MCAER PG CET application form needs to be filled out in online mode. For registration access the official page of the Maharashtra Agriculture University Examination Board. The Maharashtra agriculture entrance exam form was released with the official notifications in February 2024. The Maharatra agriculture entrance exam 2024 registration link will be active until March 20, 2024.

As per the revised schedule, candidates have to submit the registration fee until March 22, 2024. (up to 11:59 PM). Candidates need these listed details in the application form.

  • Gender
  • Address proof
  • Category certificate
  • Valid email ID and mobile number
  • Undergraduate degree
  • Colored passport size photo (not more than 35 KB)
  • Signature (not more than 30 KB)

Follow the instructions to fill out the MCAER PG CET application form.

  • Visit the MCAER official page and click on the application form link.
  • Enter the email ID and mobile number, and create a password.
  • The verification mail will be sent at the registered Email Id.
  • Once the registration is done, note the registration number and create a password.
  • Log in again at the official website www.mcaer.org . Here applicants must read and download the information bulletin before applying.
  • Enter the required personal and academic details in correct order.
  • Upload the documents in the mentioned format.
  • Check the application form and click on submit. Remember applicants have to pay the Maharashtra agriculture PG entrance exam application fee along with the form.

MCAER PG CET Application Fee

The applicant can pay the MCAER application fee through internet banking, debit card, credit card, NEFT, or RTGS. A separate challan receipt is not required for the extra course. The amount of the fees is based on the category of the candidate. It is a must that candidates belonging to reserve category candidates have their cast certificate (if applicable). Once the candidate pays it is nonrefundable. According to the MAUEB, the agriculture PG CET application fee for each exam is given below.

  • For General Category= INR 800/- (per CET)
  • For reserved category candidate= INR 600/- (per CET)
  • Students from other state= INR 800/- (per CET)

MCAER PG CET Eligibility

  • The MCAER PG CET exam is for the post-graduation in agriculture stream, candidates must have passed their graduation level degree in their equivalent stream or related stream count to be eligible.
  • Candidates must score 55% in their graduation. For reserved category, candidates must have a minimum of 50% from a recognized university/institute.
  • Candidates who belong to other states can participate as per the MCAER eligibility condition, but there is no seat reservation for them. At the time of seat allotment, first preference would be given to Maharashtra applicants.
  • If a candidate is found “non -eligible “at any stage, the examination authority has the right to reject their application.

 MCAER PG CET Exam Pattern

The applicants who are preparing for the MCAER PG CET exam are advised to get familiar with the exam pattern, to enhance their chances of a good score. Particle with the mock test and previous years papers to understand the level of the agriculture entrance exam. There will be no negative marking for any wrong or attempted questions. Check the given important points, to clear the MCAER PG CET cutoff, because the final selection will carry 70% of the entrance exam scores and 30% of the graduation scores.

  • Marking scheme - For each correct answer, the candidate gets 1 mark, and there will be no deduction for any wrong answer.

MCAER PG CET Syllabus

The Maharashtra Council of Agriculture Education and Research published the syllabus along with the official notification at www.mcaer.org . It is an important agriculture entrance exam for the candidates who seek admission into the agriculture field in Maharashtra state. MCAER PG CET syllabus, covers the under-graduation level questions, and the syllabus is different for each of the courses. Apart from the main syllabus, the examination authority will ask questions related to the English language, reasoning, and quantitative aptitude. The weightage of each stream is like that.

MCAER PG CET Admit Card

The admit card/hall ticket will be released on the MAUEB official website. As per the 2024-25 session schedule, the MCAER PG CET admit card will be available from 20 May 2024. Candidates are not allowed without the admit card scanned copy along with any photo ID proof (Aadhar card, PAN card, voter ID etc.) Download the admit card/hall ticket before the exam date. Check all the important information such as name, address, exam venue address, reporting timing, etc.

  • Visit the official website of Maharashtra agriculture board. 
  • Click on the direct link to the MCAER admit card.
  • Enter the application number and password.
  • Click on submit and take a printout of the exam date.

MCAER PG CET Result

MAUEB will announce the MCAER PG CET result on June 20, 2024, merit list will be released on the MAUEB official website. Enter the PG CET roll number and date of birth to check your result. The displayed result contains important details such as the total marks obtained, qualifying state, course name, candidate’s name, etc.

The applicant can download the post graduate entrance test merit list in PDF format. If the name or roll number is present in the published merit list, then candidates can apply for the MCAER PG final counseling process. Visit the official page. Enter the roll number as mentioned in the admit card, and get the result on screen. Download the agriculture PG CET result for the counseling process.

MCAER PG CET Counseling

The official counseling dates have not been announced yet. The candidate will allot the seat according to their rank. Applicants need to register themselves for the MCAER PG CET counseling process. Candidates can also fill out the preferences of the colleges at the time of counseling registration. Note that once the seats are allotted, candidates have to report to the university with the admission fee. Carry the important documents to the final verification process.
