The result will be declared on the AIIMS website on 3rd week of May tentatively. After the result declaration, a merit list is prepared and the candidates are ranked on several factors. In cases where there is a tie between marks of two candidates, then the tiebreaker depends on the following criteria:
After these procedures a candidate is allotted a particular rank, which will be used through out the counselling. The marks and rank of the candidate will be valid only for that particular session of counselling. It will not be accepted for the next session of the same year.
There is a total of 873 seats across the colleges which accepts INI CET marks. In PGIMER, there is a total of 123 seats which includes seats of all the specialities. After ranking, candidates have to register themselves for counselling procedure in the website www.pgimer.edu.in . Then candidates have to chose the colleges and the speciality they want to pursue their masters in and submit their choices.
At the end of the round, results are declared and seats are allotted to the candidates on the basis of merit and availability of seats. In case a candidate doesn’t secure a seat in the first round, he/she can apply for further rounds. There is a total of 4 such rounds. The conduction of rounds depends on the availability of seats. If there are no seats lefts at the end of round 3 then no further round will be conducted.
For the candidates who managed to secure a seat in the first round, have to get their documents verified at the nearest document verification centre. After verification, candidates will be provided a provisional allotment letter.
