DSAT Exam 2024

DSAT stands for Dayananda Sagar Scholarship Admission Test, which is an entrance examination conducted by Dayananda Sagar University for admission to various programs such as B.Tech & B.Pharm. The test is designed to assess the knowledge and aptitude of the candidates in the relevant subject and is used to determine their eligibility for admissions. The scholarship test is based on multiple choice questions and the students who clear the threshold score are eligible for admission in university under scholarship quota.

DSAT is a university level admission test conducted annually in the month of May. It is generally conducted as a home based proctored test. DSAT admission is conducted for various UG and PG courses of Engineering, Management, Pharmacy etc.

DSAT Exam 2024 Application Form

• Applicants have to fill up the application form by visiting the official website.
• The form can be filled up both online or offline.
• Applicants have to fill in all the details like age, educational qualifications etc.
• Uploading the photograph and signature in the required format.
• After this, applicants have to pay the application fee of Rs. 1000/-. This application fee is non-refundable.
• Download the application form and save for future reference.

DSAT Exam 2024 Eligibility Criteria

For B. Pharm course:

• Candidates should have passed 10+2 from a recognized board or University with atleast 40% in all subjects.
• Candidates must have opted PCM, PCB, PCMB, PC and Computer Science or Electronics.
• The minimum age of applicant must be 17 years as of 31 December 2023.
• Applicants must be a citizen of India, Non-Resident of India, Person of Indian Origin or Foreign National.
• The admissions are given on the basis of merit and the cutoff decided for that particular year.

DSAT Exam 2024 Exam Pattern

• The exam is conducted in various slots in the month of May.
• Language is English only.
• Mode of conduction of examination: offline/online
• Total number of questions is: 75
• Marking scheme: +1 for positive response
• No negative marking for incorrect response.
• Total duration of the exam is 2 hours.

DSAT Exam 2024 Syllabus

All the topics covered in 10+1 and 10+2 in Physics, Chemistry and Biology with a strong focus on Chemistry.

Topics include:

1. Physics: Thermodynamics, optics, electronics, fluid mechanics, mechanics etc.
2. Chemistry: alcohols, aldehyde, ketones, inorganic chemistry, thermodynamics etc.
3. Biology: cell biology, plant biology, animal biology, reproduction and evolution, etc.

DSAT Exam 2024 Centers

This exam is conducted across the country in 67 cities. candidates have to fill in their choice of city while filling up the application form. Some exam centres are:

Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Chandigarh, Bhopal, Dhanbad, Gurgaon, Karnal, Nagpur, Srinagar, Mangalore, Mysore, Bangalore, Pune, Mumbai, Cochin, Lucknow, Noida, Jaipur, Agra, Kolkata etc.

DSAT Exam 2024 Result

DSAT Result is tentatively released in the fourth week of September. After which merit list is prepared. Candidates have to take a printout of their result.

The cut off of the year is decided on the following factors:

• Total number of candidates who appeared for exam.
• Difficulty of paper
• Previous year cut off

DSAT Exam 2024 Counselling

The total intake of candidates in the B.Pharm course is 60 every year. After result declaration there will be rounds of counselling depending upon the availability of seats.

Candidates have to apply on the website for online counselling. They have to make sure to the required list of documents:

1. Original Admit Card for the entrance test.
2. 10th class pass certificate.
3. Date of Birth certificate.
4. Category certificate indicating reservation status for SC/ ST/ Non-creamy layer of OBC/ PH/ Kashmiri Migrants/ War Widow Etc.
5. Income certificate in case of Non-creamy layer of OBC.
6. Two passport size photographs.

Only after document verification, the candidate is provided with a provisional admission. To confirm the admission, candidates have to pay the tuition fee at the university office. Only after payment of full fees a student gets admitted into the course.
