MDS in periodontology stream, is a PG degree program, designed for those who complete their undergraduate degree in B.D.S (Bachelors in Dental surgery). Students get comprehensive knowledge in key areas of periodontology, related to prevention, diagnosis, scaling and root planing, and perform delta surgeries.
After getting the MDS degree, candidates will be well-positioned to pursue a dental career in various medical departments, including, dental labs, dental institutes,hospitals etc.
The MDS in periodontology course admission is based on the entrance exams score and UG scores. Candidates who qualify the entrance exam, will get the counselling invitation for that particular college in which they apply.
The MDS in periodontology course duration is 3 years, the complete MDS course is designed to train the students to become dental professionals, and want to get a specialisation degree in periodontology. The periodontal diseases affect the gums, and structure of teeth. This PG course is dedicated to teaching about nonsurgical and surgical treatment modalities, gives training in dental implants, develops the skills in performing periodontal surgeries, and related procedures to diagnose and treat that dental problem.
