GNM full form is General Nursing and Midwifery is a 3 year course followed by 6 months of compulsory internship in different departments like maternity care, post-trauma, rehabilitation, mental care etc. GNM nursing course plays an important role in the healthcare sector. The GNM course is designed to train students to become nursing professionals. It includes both theoretical and practical training that helps them acquire basic skills.

GNM full form is General Nursing and Midwifery. Candidates having at least 50% marks with science as compulsory subject in 12th class are only eligible to apply for the program. BPT Admissions 2023 are mostly done on merit basis. However, some colleges do conduct their own entrance exams BCECE, LPUNEST, VEE etc.

GNM Course Eligibility

Students who wish to pursue GNM course have meet the following criterias:

  1. The minimum age of applicant must be 17 years as of 31 December 2023.
  2. The upper limit is 25 years as on May 5 with an exemption of 5 years for SC/ST/OBC.
  3. Applicant must have pursued Physics, Chemistry, Biology as their subjects in 12 and passed with 50% in each subject.
  4. Applicant must have completed their 12th or will be completing 12th by 2023 from a recognized board or open school.
  5. Applicants must be a citizen of India, Non-Resident of India, Person of Indian Origin or Foreign National.
  6. The admissions are given on the basis of merit and the cutoff decided for that particular year.

GNM is considered an undergraduate level course whereas ANM is considered a diploma level course.
